Tax Associate

Job Description:

The Tax Associate is a full-time entry-level position responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, performing research, and supporting the tax team with compliance and planning activities. The role involves working with a variety of clients and industries.

Responsibilities:

Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and businesses
Analyze financial data for tax reporting accuracy
Assist with year-end tax planning strategies
Research tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Communicate with clients regarding tax documents and deadlines
Work with audit teams or other departments as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Taxation a plus)
0–2 years of relevant tax/accounting experience
CPA eligibility required (or actively pursuing CPA license)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with tax software (e.g., UltraTax, Lacerte, or CCH Axcess)
